The SpeakSoftly project aims to deliver training to a wide audience by leveraging online media.

Face to Face Training

Of course, there's no substitute for face-to-face training, and where funding permits, the SpeakSoftly team works on delivering customised training to groups involved in an issue or dispute.

What is SpeakSoftly?

SpeakSoftly is an online training course, designed for people who work with the environment, whether they are landholders, natural resource managers, or members of environmental community groups.

SpeakSoftly is completely free. Thanks to our sponsors, the Border Rivers-Gwydir Catchment Management Authority, and the University of New England, Armidale, we are able to provide this service at no cost to the students. In the spirit of community capacity building, SpeakSoftly is also open to anyone who wants to learn these valuable skills. Simply sign up and begin taking the lessons.

The course will be broken up into discrete topics, the first of which is now available to students. Each topic is further structured into lessons, each of which contains a bite-sized piece of training. Speaksoftly was designed with busy people in mind - each lesson will take less than an hour to complete, and will focus on just one or two core concepts that can be easily grasped and retained.
